It feels surreal; this is a dream come true for us at the Abujhmad Academy. We started with a vision to promote India’s indigenous sports and spread the joy of these ancient martial art forms. Participating in India’s Got Talent was our first big step outside our academy walls. Winning the title and prize money gives us the means to develop our academy and provide more opportunities for promising local athletes,” coach of Abujhmad Mallakhamb Academy, Manoj Prasad, shared in a statement.

ABOUT THE FINALE

After the entertaining episode of Saturday (November 4), six finalists were left who attempted to showcase their abilities and talents for the last time to the judges — Badshah, Shilpa Shetty and Kirron Kher.

Hip-hop dancers, Zero Degree from Mumbai, Abujhmad Mallakhamb Academy from Chhattisgarh, The ART (Abhishek from Uttar Pradesh, Rahul from Jaipur, and Tejas from Mumbai), Kolkata’s Golden Girls, Indo-classical fusion band, Raaga Fusion, and Nagaland’s Mahila Band were competing for the ultimate prize.

The finale episode was also earlier graced by Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani filmmaker Karan Johar, who seemed highly impressed with the various acts of the participants. Karan even ended up dancing on the show, much to the delight of the fans.

India’s Got Talent Season 10 will be replaced by dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, from next week onwards.
